About the Club

AI has a very convincing demo voice. We’re interested in what happens when you give it a job.

Worth a Shot Club is for people building their own thing with AI. Come for what’s new. Stay for the work behind it and something to try yourself.

What brings us here

The demo ends.
We keep going.

A new release can be interesting. A claim can sound ridiculous. Either way, there’s usually a better question than “Is AI going to change everything?”

Does it hold up?

A claim meets a real task. You get the attempt and our call on the result.

A Club with room
for another chair.

Valentin started the Club and is looking for someone to help shape what comes next.

Valentin Schmid

I used to be COO at gowago.ch. Now I’m building my own things with AI, including this Club. I like a good rabbit hole. I like coming back with something useful even more.

Human in the loop. Usually opening another tab.

This could be you.

The Club deserves more than one person pushing it forward. Bring your own point of view and let’s see what we could make of this together.

The little guy.

Head of getting carried away. Every Club needs someone who looks excited before the demo has even loaded.

Tools behind the work

Quite a few tabs.
Still our call.

Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Google’s Gemini are among the tools at the bench. They help with the work. People choose the brief, check what comes back and decide what goes out.

A confident answer still gets a follow-up question.

Claude

A working conversation for the build, from a rough brief to code and revisions.

ChatGPT

Another place to work through a question and develop an idea.

Grok

Part of following what’s happening and finding threads worth a closer look.

Gemini

Another tool to bring a question to. The answer gets the same human scrutiny.

Tools we use, with their own names on the box. The Club’s choices and opinions are ours.

The way we look at it

Enthusiastic.
With questions.

We can get excited about a tool and still ask to see the work. The manifesto is where we put that into words.

Why we give a shot

Pull up a tab.

Bring a question, show us a piece or help build the Club itself.
